Beekeeping is an ancient practice dating back as early as 3000 BC and has seen many iterations into what is now modern-day beekeeping. In our program, Beekeeping, Honey Production, and a Fragile Ecosystem, students will be introduced to what beekeepers do, the process of honey production from nectar to jar, and the inner working of a honeybee colony.
By participating in this program, students will gain a unique perspective into our fragile ecosystem, and the tiny insects which hold it together via pollination.
